Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he is planning to bring "three or four quality players" to the club this summer.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he is targeting "three or four quality" transfers in the summer.

The Reds boss has claimed that he is happy with the majority of his squad but thinks that a few additions will help the club challenge for the Champions League places in the Premier League next season.

"I am happy with the squad if I can then put another three or four quality players to it," Rodgers is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.

"If we bring in another three or four quality players to add to what we have got, then we have got a strong squad.

"Naturally there might be people who aren't playing who might want to think about going elsewhere, but at the moment it's a strong squad."

The in-form Reds travel to Southampton on Saturday.
