Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly entered the race for much-coveted Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
The 20-year-old, who is regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in Italy, has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool in the winter window.
However, according to reports in Italy, Southampton are prepared to meet the £10m asking price as they ready their squad for the second part of the campaign.
Coutinho has recently admitted a desire to remain in Italy.
