Patrick Vieira: 'Raheem Sterling will attract huge interest'

Manchester City's football development executive Patrick Vieira believes that a number of clubs will be interested in Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.

Patrick Vieira has said that he believes Manchester City won't be the only club who are keen to sign Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.

City have reportedly made a number of bids for the 20-year-old, who is keen to leave Anfield, but Vieira, who is football development executive at the Etihad Stadium, has insisted that last season's runners-up won't be alone in chasing the attacker.

The 39-year-old told ESPN: "I think if you go down and ask 10 people what they think about him, I think nine would give you a positive answer.

"I would be part of the nine people because he's shown how good he is, how well he's been doing at Liverpool. If he is in the market, not just City would be interested in him."

Sterling has scored 23 goals in 129 appearances for the Merseyside giants.
