West Ham United have reportedly submitted a loan offer for Liverpool's Fabio Carvalho as the Hammers look to improve their engine room this summer, with Brentford and Burnley also interested in the player.
The 20-year-old joined Jurgen Klopp's Reds from Fulham last summer for a fee of £5m, however the midfielder has struggled for gametime since arriving at the club, starting just four matches in the Premier League.
Having represented England at youth level, the Cottagers academy graduate has since pledged his allegiance to Portugal, although he is yet to make his senior debut for the Euro 2016 winners.
According to Football Insider, West Ham are making moves to bring Carvalho to the London Stadium for next season, offering to take the player on loan.
The report adds that fellow Premier League sides Brentford and newly-promoted Burnley have enquired about a possible temporary deal for the youngster, meaning David Moyes's men are likely to have some competition in their pursuit of the midfielder.
It is also believed that RB Leipzig are preparing a second bid for Carvalho after their initial proposal of £10m was rejected by the Merseyside club, with Liverpool said to be unsure whether they want to let the player leave on a permanent deal.
Following the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion, Carvalho may find himself even further down the pecking order at Anfield if he ends up spending another campaign on the fringes of the squad.
