Andre Wisdom open to loan move away from Liverpool

Andre Wisdom says that he is open to leaving Liverpool on a loan deal in order to secure regular first-team football.

Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom has admitted that he is willing to leave Anfield for another club on loan.

The 20-year-old has the likes of deadline-day signings Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori to contend with in defence, as well as Daniel Agger, Kolo Toure, Martin Skrtel and Martin Kelly.

In order to get more first-team playing time, Wisdom has revealed that he is considering a temporary switch away from the Merseyside outfit.

"It was looking almost certain that I would be going out on loan to try to play regular games, but then Glen Johnson got injured in the game against Manchester United and the manager didn't want to let me go out as I was needed here," the Liverpool Daily Post quotes Wisdom as saying.

"Maybe something will come of the loan option later in the season because you always want to be playing games on a regular basis."

Despite initially failing to secure a loan transfer, Wisdom has insisted that he is "happy" to remain at Anfield.
