Giorgio Chiellini says bite is "forgotten"

Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini accepts Luis Suarez's apology for biting him in the World Cup, saying that the incident is "forgotten".

Giorgio Chiellini has responded to Luis Suarez's apology for biting him at the World Cup, saying that the incident is "forgotten".

The Liverpool striker was handed a four-month ban from all footballing activities by FIFA for sinking his teeth into the Italy defender while playing for Uruguay last week, and issued an apology through his Twitter account earlier today.

Chiellini replied: "It's all forgotten. I hope FIFA will reduce your suspension."

This is the third time that Suarez has been suspended for biting an opponent.
