Remi Garde: 'My job is in danger'

Lyon coach Remi Garde admits that his position is under threat after a run of just one win in their last 11 matches.

Lyon coach Remi Garde has admitted that his position at the club is under threat following a run of just one win in their last seven league games.

Garde watched his side capitulate at Montpellier at the weekend, slipping to a 5-1 defeat that leaves them 14th in the Ligue 1 table, four points off the relegation zone.

Following their heaviest Ligue 1 defeat since February 2000, Garde has revealed that he was disturbed by the attitude of his players and conceded that without a change of fortunes he is unlikely to keep his job.

He told ESPN: "It's very clear that I'm in danger. It's wholly insufficient to win just once in our last ten matches. So I don't see why I wouldn't feel in danger.

"It's tough. I saw a completely crushed dressing room. I dare to imagine the players are in the same state as me.

"The final result is harsh, but the attitude and behaviour was quite disturbing. I'm going to talk about it with them."

The 47-year-old is in his third season in charge at Lyon, after the club chose to appoint from within when they replaced Claude Puel in 2011.
