Manchester City fans confirm protest against Paris Saint-Germain ticket prices

Manchester City supporters are to protest with banners against ticket prices for next month's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

A Manchester City supporters group has confirmed that they will protest against the club's pricing structure for next month's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

The 1894 Group initially said that fans could stage a mass walkout against the top-priced £60 tickets, but today they announced that they would instead protest with banners at the Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion on April 9, three days before PSG's visit.

"The PSG pricing structure was a last straw for many fans," read a group statement. "What we are sure about is that there is huge concern about where ticket prices are going.

"Would we see £70/£80 tickets for a semi-final? Would we see further rises for season tickets next year?"

City have defended the pricing structure, claiming that it represents a "fair reflection" of the nature of the match.
