Cesare Prandelli concerned by "agitated" Mario Balotelli

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli admits that he may leave Manchester City's Mario Balotelli out of his squad for Euro 2012.

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has admitted that he may leave Mario Balotelli out of his squad for Euro 2012.

The 21-year-old has been sent off three times since joining Manchester City from Inter Milan in 2010.

Speaking after dropping the attacker for this week's friendly against the United States of America, Prandelli admitted that the Balotelli's disciplinary problems are of great concern to him.

"I don't want players who commit reaction fouls and get sent off," Prandelli told reporters. "He seems a little agitated to me.

"When I say we have to reach the European Championships prepared, I mean I don't want to see players who, at the first sign of difficulty, commit reaction fouls and get sent off, leaving their teammates to struggle with ten men."

Balotelli has made seven appearances for his country.
