Manchester City playmaker David Silva is reportedly not responding well enough to treatment on a hamstring injury to be fit in time for Sunday's FA Cup semi-final.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is reportedly resigned to being without playmaker David Silva for this Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

The Spain international has been a doubt for the match at Wembley after picking up a hamstring strain during his side's derby victory over Manchester United on Monday.

While the player himself remained hopeful of battling back in time for Sunday, it is believed that he is not responding well to treatment, according to the Daily Star.

If City snatch a victory over holders Chelsea, they will go up against either Millwall or Wigan Athletic in the final.
