Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure to miss Stoke City trip

Manuel Pellegrini confirms that Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero will miss Manchester City's trip to Stoke City.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that both Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero will miss Saturday's meeting with Stoke City.

Aguero has been battling a heel problem this week and the Argentine will be left out of the squad for the trip to the Britannia Stadium, but Pellegrini believes that the striker will be back in action soon.

"Sergio still feels pain in his heel so it's not easy for him to work. I hope he will be back on Tuesday [against Borussia Monchengladbach]," the City boss told reporters.

Toure and Aguero are joined on the sidelines by Vincent Kompany and Pablo Zabaleta, with both defenders expected to be in contention to return in the next couple of weeks.

Joe Hart is in the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury.
