Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne out for "at least six weeks"

Kevin De Bruyne's agent says that the Belgian midfielder will miss "at least six weeks" of action for Manchester City.

Kevin De Bruyne's agent has confirmed that the Manchester City midfielder will be out for "at least six weeks" with ligament damage in his knee and ankle.

The Belgian was stretchered off in the latter stages of last night's League Cup semi-final second-leg win over Everton.

City are yet to confirm the severity of the 24-year-old's injury, but his agent Patrick De Koster revealed that he would be out until at least mid-March.

"Kevin will be out for at least six weeks but it is too early to know more at this stage," De Koster told The Guardian.

"He's confident. Of course he is a bit sad that he will miss so many important games like the Capital One Cup final and Champions League but Kevin would not be Kevin if wasn't already thinking about playing again for City."

De Koster also admitted that it was too early to tell whether the injury could hurt De Bruyne's chances of playing for Belgium at Euro 2016.
