Benjamin Mendy is gearing up for his first appearance in a Manchester City shirt after taking part in training today.
The defender, who joined the two-time Premier League champions from AS Monaco for £52m earlier this summer, has been on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
The problem kept him out of City's 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, but he still made headlines after appearing to mock Lewis Dunk's own goal by tweeting: "Bullet header."
This evening, City confirmed on their official website that Mendy trained with his teammates for the first time today as the club prepare for a friendly against Girona in Spain on Tuesday night.
Mendy, who is one of six new players to join Pep Guardiola's team this summer, could make his first league appearance for the club next Monday when City face Everton.
