Rodri urges Manchester City to continue their winning ways after beating Aston Villa in the EFL Cup final on Sunday and Real Madrid at the Bernabeu before that.

Rodri has urged Manchester City to build on their recent EFL Cup win, having beaten Aston Villa 2-1 in the final on Sunday.

The Citizens managed their third consecutive league trophy at the weekend, but the City midfielder claims that they need to use their recent results to continue their strong run in both the Champions League and the FA Cup.

The Spaniard, who scored the winner at Wembley, told Manchester City's official website: "It's been a very important week for us, but this is not over yet.

"We still have a few months of the season to go and that great result in the Champions League and the fighting spirit of the team says lots of good things about us, a team that never surrender.

"Winning the Carabao Cup three times in succession speaks a lot about our ambition, and our collective desire to keep winning."

The Manchester side also claimed a 2-1 victory against Real Madrid in the first leg of the round of 16 last week, with the Premier League side set to host Los Blancos in the return leg later this month.
