Edin Dzeko says that Manchester City's form is more important than his own after scoing against Arsenal.

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has no doubts that the form of the team is more important than his own performances.

The champions are still seven points behind league leaders Manchester United, after City earned a 2-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The Bosnian made it four goals in his last four games following his strike during the match in North London, but insists that the team comes first.

Dzeko told Sky Sports News: "It was a penalty. I didn't score but I knew I was going to score afterwards because I told myself 'Ok you missed the penalty, now you have to work hard and try to score from another chance.'

"It's very important for my confidence to know you're going to play the next game. I think I've started the last four games and I think I've scored four goals so I'm happy.

"The most important thing is that the team is winning the games and that we are still there fighting for first place."

City host Fulham on Saturday.
