Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could be in line for just his second Premier League start of the season against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could return to the starting lineup for his side's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this weekend.

The 30-year-old has suffered another injury-plagued campaign so far, managing just 78 minutes of Premier League football under Pep Guardiola.

Kompany travelled with the Belgium squad during the recent international break but played no part in the matches against Netherlands and Estonia for precautionary reasons.

However, he could be ready to make his first league appearance since October 23 this weekend as City look to improve their record of just one win from their last five top-flight outings.

Guardiola could also have right-back Bacary Sagna available following a hamstring injury, but Fabian Delph remains sidelined with a groin problem.
