Manchester City prepare to sue Carlos Tevez

Manchester City are reportedly thinking about taking legal action against Carlos Tevez.

Manchester City are pondering whether to take legal action against striker Carlos Tevez after he was found guilty of breaching club rules, according to The Sun.

The Argentina international was fined four weeks' wages for failing to warm up during the side's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich. However, the 27-year-old was cleared of refusing to play.

Reports have emerged that the former Manchester United frontman is considering suing boss Roberto Mancini for defamation of character after the Italian accused Tevez of refusing to come on as a substitute during the match.

While the striker is believed to have threatened legal action, the North West club are reportedly thinking of suing Tevez for up to £10m.

Meanwhile, Brazilian side Corinthians have claimed that they remain interested in signing the star.
