New Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is due to meet the media for the first time this afternoon.

The Chilean coach will field questions from the press alongside City's new £30m signing Fernandinho, who is also being unveiled by the club.

The news conference will be held just hours before the squad fly out to South Africa for their pre-season tour, where they meet SuperSport United in Pretoria on Sunday before moving to Durban to play AmaZulu FC on July 18.

Pellegrini was officially confirmed as the new City boss last month, following the sacking of Roberto Mancini.
