Pep Guardiola to keep Brian Kidd at Manchester City?

A report claims that Pep Guardiola will appoint Brian Kidd to his coaching staff when he takes over at Manchester City in the summer.

Pep Guardiola has reportedly decided that Brian Kidd will form a part of his coaching staff at Manchester City.

The Spaniard, who will take charge at the Etihad Stadium in the summer, is expected to bring a number of his trusted lieutenants with him to East Manchester.

They include personal assistant Manuel Estiarte, coach Domenec Torrent, analyst Carles Planchart and fitness coach Lorenzo Buenaventura.

However, according to The Telegraph, Guardiola is also keen to have someone that knows the club well within his ranks and Kidd is the ideal candidate.

Kidd, who spent three years as a player with City during the 1970s, has served as the assistant to Roberto Mancini and current boss Manuel Pellegrini.
