Tony Pulis happy with Crystal Palace showing

Tony Pulis feels that his Crystal Palace side gave a good account of themselves in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has insisted that he was pleased with the way his side played in their narrow 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

Pulis said that on another day his side might have scored with a bit more of a cutting edge in front of goal, but has no complaints about any of his players.

"I think Joe Hart made a couple of great saves today and you know when you come to places like here you are going to come under pressure and we looked dangerous on the break," Pulis told Sky Sports News.

"I am pleased with the performance, we've had two away games and we went to Aston Villa, who were desperate for the points, and then follow it up and come to Manchester City, and put in a performance like that, I can't criticise the players."

Palace remain 17th in the Premier League despite the defeat.
