Swansea City: 'Wilfried Bony deal not completed'

Swansea City deny claims from the Ivory Coast Football Federation that striker Wilfried Bony has completed his proposed £30m move to Manchester City.

Swansea City have denied that Wilfried Bony's proposed transfer to Manchester City has been finalised.

The Ivory Coast Football Federation claimed on Wednesday that the striker had completed his rumoured £30m move to the Premier League champions.

Bony is currently with his national team preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations, but Swansea have moved quickly to stress that their announcement was premature.

Nevertheless, Sky Sports News reports that the transfer should go through once the final paperwork has been submitted later today.

The 26-year-old scored 20 Premier League goals throughout 2014 - more than any other player - and 34 in 70 in total for the Swans after joining from Dutch outfit Vitesse in 2013.
