Swansea City defender Neil Taylor has said that the club will rely more heavily on striker Bafetimbi Gomis, with Wilfried Bony expected to leave the club.
Gomis has been mainly used from the substitutes' bench since he joined the South Wales club in the summer, but he is now set for a run in the team as Bony heads for Manchester City.
The 29-year-old started and scored two goals in their recent FA Cup third-round win against Tranmere Rovers, and Taylor hopes that the Frenchman can string together a good run of form.
"We're hoping he gets confidence from this because we're going to need him. He's definitely a good player and hopefully people get to see him now," he told reporters.
"Wilf's a difficult act to follow, but when he moves on he's earned it and that shows that if you do well here you can get that move and Bafe will probably look at that the same way."
Gomis has scored four goals so far this season.
