Vincent Kompany returns to Manchester City's first XI for this afternoon's Premier League game against Leicester City.

Vincent Kompany has been named in the Manchester City starting lineup for the first time since August.

The defender had been out of action with a calf injury, but is now declared fit enough to marshall the backline alongside John Stones in this afternoon's Premier League game against Leicester City.

Nicolas Otamendi misses out due to suspension, but Fabian Delph has been passed fit, despite missing England's friendlies with a calf injury.

Sergio Aguero was an initial doubt after falling ill while on international duty with Argentina, but he has been given the green light to join Pep Guardiola's bench.

As for Leicester, manager Claude Puel makes one change to the team that drew 2-2 with Stoke City the last time out as Marc Albrighton starts, while Shinji Okazaki is dropped to the bench.

Vincente Iborra gets the nod to start, even though he suffered an ankle knock against Stoke, while Ben Chilwell has had to settle for a place among the substitutes.

Leicester City: Schmeicehl; Simpson, Morgan, Maguire, Fuchs; Ndidi, Iborra, Gray, Albrighton, Mahrez; Vardy
Subs: Hamer, Chilwell, Dragovic, King, Okazaki, Slimani, Iheanacho

Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Kompany, Stones; Delph, Fernandinho, Silva; Sterling, De Bruyne, Sane; Jesus
Subs: Bravo, Danilo, Gundogan, Aguero, Mangala, Bernardo, Toure
