Manchester City and Barcelona are reportedly ready to go head to head for Paris Saint-Germain youngster Edouard Michut.

Manchester City and Barcelona are reportedly pushing to sign Paris Saint-Germain youngster Edouard Michut.

Despite starring at youth level for the French giants, the 17-year-old has just over a year remaining on his current contract.

According to Sport, that has resulted in Man City and Barcelona monitoring any developments regarding his future.

Michut, who has been dubbed as the next Marco Verratti, has also represented France at Under-16 and Under-17 level.

While Juventus and Valencia are also said to be monitoring the situation, it is suggested that City and Barca are currently regarded as the favourites for his signature.
