Manchester City baulk at David Silva demands?

Manchester City's contract talks with midfielder David Silva reportedly hit a brick wall.

David Silva's long-term future at Manchester City is said to be in doubt because the club are unwilling to meet the midfielder's contract demands.

The 26-year-old Spain international has two years left to run on his current deal, which is worth a reported £130,000 per week.

According to the Daily Mail, City are keen to extend Silva's stay at the Etihad Stadium but they are baulking at the player's requested £200,000-plus wages.

Teammates Yaya Toure and Carlos Tevez are both understood to be earning more than £200,000 per week.

Silva scored six goals in 36 Premier League appearances last season.
