AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is reportedly due to fly in to Manchester this week for talks with Manchester City over controversial striker Carlos Tevez.
Milan are seeking to take Tevez on loan, but City want a permanent deal worth around £30m.
Galliani is expected to arrive in England later this week in a bid to thrash out a deal with City, according to The Sun.
"Let's hope sooner or later City change their minds," Galliani said.
"Negotiations are going to take a long time but we are playing a lot of emphasis on the fact he wants to play with us.
"It's true other sides are interested in him but there are not actually that many."
Tevez has not featured for City since refusing to warm up against Bayern Munich in September.
