Shaun Goater: 'There will be life after Yaya Toure'

Manchester City legend Shaun Goater believes that his former club will survive should they lose Yaya Toure this summer.

Former Manchester City striker Shaun Goater has insisted that there will be life after Yaya Toure should the Blues sell their star midfielder this summer.

The Ivorian midfielder is reportedly determined to leave the Etihad this summer, though Goater insists no man is bigger than the club.

"He came to the club and did what it said on the tin," Goater is quoted as saying my MEN Sport. "He's raised us to a level and produced a phenomenal level.

"What we can't see is that time moves on and moves on for everyone. We probably can't see a future without Yaya like we can't see a future without Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany, but eventually there will be."

Goater is looking to make his own move into management after returning to the UK from Bermuda to work at City's academy while he waits for an opportunity.
