Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly ready to meet Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey over a potential transfer to the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly decided to try to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.

Guardiola may look to complete deal for as many as four players during the summer transfer window, and another central midfielder is likely to be on his wishlist.

Partey has a contract with Atletico until 2023, but according to Don Balon, Guardiola wants to hold discussions with the player in Madrid.

The 25-year-old is allegedly available for a fee in the region of €50m (£42.84m), and that price tag is likely to appeal to City who want a long-term replacement for Fernandinho.

Partey has made a total of 33 appearances during the current campaign, although just 15 starts have been made in La Liga.
