Mark Hughes plays down Carlos Tevez transfer

QPR boss Mark Hughes plays down talk linking the club with Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has played down talk linking Carlos Tevez with a move to the club.

The striker is currently seeking a move away from Manchester City following a breakdown in relations with manager Roberto Mancini.

"Not in this window, absolutely not," Hughes, who signed the Argentine during his time as City boss, told Sky Sports News.

"Ideally, I would love the chance to work with Carlos again, but it is not going to happen anytime soon."

Hughes is also represented by the same agent at Tevez.
