Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix has ruled out a summer departure despite being linked with a move away from the Spanish club.

Joao Felix has stated that he will not be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer.

The 22-year-old joined Diego Simeone's side in 2019 from Benfica for a fee in the region of £115m.

Although he has made 110 appearances for Atletico, Felix has struggled in his time at Wanda Metropolitano, scoring 29 goals for the club.

A recent report indicated that the Spanish side were content with Felix leaving amid reported interest from Manchester City and Paris-Saint Germain.

However, the striker has since stated that he is not considering a departure this summer despite being linked with a move away.

Felix told Marca: "A departure from Atletico is not on the table. I'm fine and focused on Atletico. I'm calm about the future, aware of what I can do and I'm fine with myself."

Following the departure of Luis Suarez, the Portugal international could find himself playing a key role for Atletico next season.
