Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reportedly decides that he does not need to sign a new left-back during the summer transfer window.

Manchester City have reportedly decided to keep faith in left-back Benjamin Mendy.

City have been left short on that side of their backline due to two serious injuries to Mendy, and manager Pep Guardiola has previously suggested that he may look to bring in another option.

However, according to Sky Sports News, City are ready to stick with their current crop of players who can be deployed in that position.

Mendy will be provided with another chance to remain in the starting lineup, while Guardiola is happy with the progress of utility player Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Danilo can also play in either full-back role, but the Brazilian is continuing to be linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium.
