Manchester City are preparing a £25m bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette despite being on the brink of buying Wilfried Bony, according to reports.
City are expected to announce the signing of Bony from Swansea City imminently, but Lacazette could follow as boss Manuel Pellegrini plans a major overhaul of his strikers.
The the Daily Star claims that two of City's current crop could leave in this window, with Valencia ready to turn Alvaro Negredo's loan into a permanent £25m deal, and Juventus targeting a loan for Stevan Jovetic ahead of a possible £20m purchase in the summer.
Edin Dzeko's future is also said to be uncertain, with a possible £15m move away from the club at the end of the season having been mooted.
Lacazette has scored 19 goals in 21 games for Lyon this season.
