Manchester City will reportedly make a move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic when the January transfer window opens for business.
Towards the end of last month, it was claimed that Lazio had placed a price-tag of £94m on the 22-year-old in order to discourage Man City from making an offer at the start of 2018.
However, according to CalcioMercato, Citizens boss Pep Guardiola has been given the green light to launch a January move in order to beat the likes of Manchester United and Juventus to the Spain-born midfielder's signature.
Milinkovic-Savic, who moved to Serie A from Genk in the summer of 2015, has scored four times and provided two assists in 15 appearances for Lazio this season.
French giants Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in recent weeks.
