Manchester City youngster Thierry Ambrose extends contract

Manchester City forward Thierry Ambrose extends his contract with the Citizens until 2020.

Manchester City striker Thierry Ambrose has signed a new five-year contract with the Premier League club.

The 18-year-old joined the Citizens from Auxerre two years ago and has scored 11 goals in 17 starts for their Under-21 side.

"I had a two-year deal in place but I've just signed a three-year extension on top of that so it was an offer I couldn't refuse," Ambrose told the club's official website.

"That City want me to commit for so long gives me great confidence. I feel at home at this Club and I want to carry on learning and improving."

Ambrose has represented France at Under-16 level.
