Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City midfielder James Maddison this summer.
There is uncertainty surrounding the futures of Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva, who are both out of contract at the end of the season.
While there is the possibility that Gundogan and Silva both sign new deals, Man City have begun their search for new midfielders.
According to the Daily Mail, the Citizens have identified Maddison as a potential transfer target for the summer window.
Maddison has previously been linked with a move to Newcastle United, who reportedly had two bids rejected last summer after failing to meet Leicester's £60m valuation.

The report claims that a number of Premier League clubs have also enquired about the 26-year-old's availability during the current transfer window.
Although Maddison looks set to remain with the Foxes until the end of the season, his long-term future at the King Power Stadium has been called into question.
The England international will enter the final 12 months of his deal this summer, and there is currently no suggestion that he will sign an extension.
As a result, Leicester may decide to cash in on Maddison as they try to avoid a repeat of the situation with Youri Tielemans, who is set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Maddison has recently struggled with injury, but he has still scored seven goals and provided four assists across his 16 competitive appearances this season.
