Paris Saint-Germain reportedly hijack Manchester City's move for Brazilian international full-back Dani Alves following his release from Juventus.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly emerged as frontrunners to sign Dani Alves this summer, having successfully hijacked Manchester City's deal for the full-back.

Alves was expected to complete his move to the Etihad Stadium next week following his release from Champions League finalists Juventus, but the time they have taken to wrap up the deal has allowed PSG to make a late play for the Brazilian.

L'Equipe reports that the Ligue 1 giants have successfully convinced the 34-year-old to move to the French capital instead of Manchester and could complete the transfer in the coming days.

City have also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker this summer, although he is expected to cost Pep Guardiola's side at least £50m whereas Alves is available on a free transfer.

Should Alves complete his move to the Parc des Princes then it could see Serge Aurier depart PSG, with the full-back a potential option for Man City if they miss out on the Brazil international.
