Real Madrid considering summer bid for Manchester City's Phil Foden?

Real Madrid are allegedly contemplating whether to launch a big-money approach for Manchester City youngster Phil Foden during the summer.

Manchester City youngster Phil Foden has allegedly been identified as a potential transfer target by Real Madrid.

While Foden has had his first-team appearances restricted by Pep Guardiola, the academy graduate is regarded as a future mainstay of the club's midfield.

However, with the 19-year-old having made just five Premier League starts since breaking into the senior setup, it appears that Real are prepared to move for the playmaker.

According to reports in Spain, Los Blancos are willing to make an offer of £66m, aware that City may have to cash in on at least one of their prized assets should they be forced to see out a two-season ban from the Champions League.

Although Real are said to regard Foden as a long-term replacement for Luka Modric, City or the prospect are likely to entertain any offers from the Spanish giants.

Foden - a boyhood City supporter - has a contract until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
