Michael Laudrup reveals that Scott Sinclair will not be signing a new contract at Swansea.

Swansea City winger Scott Sinclair has told the club that he will not sign a new contract, according to manager Michael Laudrup.

Sinclair, whose contract expires at the end of this season, has been attracting interest from other clubs, including Premier League champions Manchester City.

In light of the supposed interest, Laudrup has confirmed that Sinclair has refused to open talks over a new contract but has insisted that he will remain part of his squad while he is at the club.

"I have spoken to Scott and he confirmed what he said to the chairman, that he won't sign a new contract," Laudrup said.

"Of course there is interest from a big club in Scott, but the only thing I care about in the short term is that it does not affect him for Saturday.

"I will talk to Scott and if he says no, he does not want to play, then we will see. If he says, 'I'm a professional', then I know he is in the squad."

Sinclair has scored 27 league goals since signing for the Swans in 2010.
