Valencia sign Alvaro Negredo on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

Valencia have announced that they have signed Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo on a season-long loan.

The 29-year-old was linked with a number of clubs throughout deadline day - including Arsenal - but the La Liga outfit have snapped him up.

The former Sevilla hitman will wear the number seven shirt for Los Che this season and will be unveiled at the Mestalla tomorrow.

Negredo enjoyed a goal-laden first season in English football, scoring 23 times in all competitions to help City win the Premier League and Capital One Cup.#
