Ajax may be able to call upon the services of Theo Janssen for Thursday's Europa League tie against Manchester United.
The Dutch midfielder has been expected to miss the fixture because of a groin injury that he sustained during Sunday's league match against FC Utrecht.
However, the 30-year-old will reportedly take part in a training session tomorrow afternoon with a view to taking his place in the match-day squad.
Coach Frank De Boer will be without Eyong Enoh, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, Gregory van der Wiel, Derk Boerrigter and Andre Ooijer for the encounter.
