Eric Bailly is substituted during the second half of Ivory Coast's meeting with Rwanda, leaving him as a slight doubt for Manchester United's next match.

Manchester United have been handed another injury scare as defender Eric Bailly suffered a facial injury while on international duty with the Ivory Coast.

The 24-year-old clashed heads with an opponent during the second half of his side's 3-0 win over Rwanda on Saturday.

Bailly, who was on the scoresheet in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, was treated on the field and eventually taken off as a precaution.

Ivory Coast do not play again during this international break, so the centre-back will now have six days to recover before Man United welcome Watford to Old Trafford in their next outing.

United already have a string of first-team stars nursing injuries, including the likes of Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia.
