Jadon Sancho returns to Manchester United training

Manchester United welcome Jadon Sancho back to training after he was forced to withdraw from the England squad through injury.

Manchester United have welcomed Jadon Sancho back to the training pitches following his withdrawal from the England squad.

The 21-year-old was originally ruled out of the Three Lions' 4-0 win in Hungary before leaving the camp ahead of their victory over Andorra by the same scoreline over the weekend.

Sancho's issue was not thought to have been serious at the time, and United have since posted a relief-inducing Tweet displaying the attacker with the ball at his feet at Carrington.

The England international should therefore be in contention to face Newcastle United on Saturday, and he was joined in Tuesday's training session by fellow new arrival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sancho has only started one of United's three Premier League games so far this season, though, featuring for 72 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also welcomed Dean Henderson, Alex Telles and Scott McTominay back to training in further boosts ahead of the weekend, leaving Marcus Rashford and Phil Jones as the club's only two injury concerns.
