Trent Alexander-Arnold apologises to Liverpool fans

Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold apologises to the club's fans following their 2-1 defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Manchester United.

Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has apologised to the club's supporters following their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The 19-year-old was caught out of position for United's opening goal of the contest as Marcus Rashford's brace was ultimately enough to send the hosts five points clear of their bitter rivals in second place.

The defeat was just Liverpool's second in their last 21 Premier League appearances, and Alexander-Arnold took to Instagram to say sorry for the team's display.

Liverpool will look to bounce back from that defeat when they host Watford at Anfield next Saturday.
