David Gea 'concerned by Manchester United's transfer policy'

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea wants reassurances over the club's transfer policy before penning a new deal, according to a report.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea reportedly wants reassurances over the club's transfer policy before deciding to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.

De Gea, who has been far from his best in recent weeks, will see his current deal with the 20-time English champions expire at the end of next season.

United are reportedly refusing to meet the Spaniard's wage demands as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain continue to be linked with his services.

According to the Daily Mail, De Gea would 'prefer to stay at Old Trafford', but the stopper has concerns over the club's 'sporting direction' and wants reassurances over their transfer policy.

The Red Devils are expected to spend big in this summer's transfer window, with Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho among those linked with moves to the club.

De Gea has made more than 350 appearances for United since a 2011 switch from Atletico Madrid.
