Jonny Evans hails Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand's "quality"

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans says that teammate Rio Ferdinand's experience and quality help him cruise through games.

Jonny Evans has hailed his fellow Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and believes that his experience is crucial for the team's success this season.

Ferdinand was criticised for his performance during the Red Devils' 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in the Premier League last month, but Evans claims that the 33-year-old's quality is unquestionable.

"The thing with Rio is that he is so experienced," Evans told MUTV. "He cruises through games.

"He comes off at the end and there is not a bit of sweat on him, he could probably play on and on. But that just shows the quality he has got and the experience."

United are currently second in the league table with 15 points from seven matches, four points behind leaders Chelsea.
