Patrice Evra has told the Manchester United board that he is ready to help reverse the club's fortunes following Sunday's 2-0 defeat to West Ham United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men produced another substandard performance at the London Stadium, creating just two chances all game as Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell handed the Irons a deserved victory.

The result has cast a fresh spotlight on the wider management structure governing United, who are now without an away win in the Premier League since February.

Evra wrote on Instagram after the game: "I think it's time to get our hands dirty! @manchesterunited board, are you ready to let us help you guys...? #manchesterunited."

Evra, who spent nine years at Old Trafford, was pictured sitting alongside vice-chairman Ed Woodward in the director's box during United's 3-1 defeat at West Ham this time last year.

The Frenchman, having retired from football in the summer, has been at Carrington in recent weeks as he works towards gathering his coaching badges.
