UEFA confirms that no further action is to be taken against Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini following a coming-together with Liverpool's Emre Can.

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been cleared to play a part in the second-leg tie against Liverpool after escaping retrospective punishment for an alleged elbow on Emre Can.

The Belgium international came under scrutiny for appearing to catch his opponent with a stray arm late on in the 2-0 Europa League reverse at Anfield.

UEFA has now ruled that no further action will be taken, however, meaning a second reprieve for the Red Devils following the governing body's decision to not punish the club for reported unsavoury chants in last week's heated clash.

United welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford for the return leg on Thursday evening.
