Marouane Fellaini: 'Manchester United can challenge for title'

Marouane Fellaini insists that Manchester United are still in the Premier League title race.

Marouane Fellaini has insisted that Manchester United can still challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Four successive wins have taken Louis van Gaal's side up to fourth in the table, and Fellaini believes that they can still catch leaders Chelsea, who are 11 points clear of United.

"We know each other a lot better now, we know the manager and the staff. We know the philosophy of the manager, we train hard as well, so we have to continue like that," the Belgian told members of the media.

"If we do that, when the teams come to Old Trafford it will be difficult to beat us.

"I think we wait for a mistake [from Chelsea], but we have to look at us, we have to take it game by game and we will see after - after Boxing Day we have a lot of games and we have to keep winning. We can still challenge."

United return to action against Southampton on Monday evening.
