Sir Alex Ferguson says that he needs to do his research on Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino ahead of tomorrow's clash.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he knows very little about Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Scotsman will go up against the Spaniard for the first time tomorrow since he took over at St Mary's following Nigel Adkins's swift dismissal.

"I'll get some information," Ferguson told the club's official website. "I don't know a lot about him to be honest but I will have a chat with my brother [Martin] as he's been scouting in Spain. It won't matter in this particular game as he's just at the club but they had a fantastic response against Everton."

United currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with a five-point lead, while the Saints reside four points away from relegation.
