Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson tips Spurs to challenge for this season's Premier League title.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has tipped Tottenham Hotspur to challenge for this season's Premier League title.

Harry Redknapp's side could move up to third in the table if they beat Sunderland at home later today (Sunday).

"Tottenham were unlucky last Sunday at Stoke but if they win their game in hand they are still in there," Ferguson said.

"For me Spurs have been playing the best football in the Premier League for the last eight games. I have been very impressed with them. They have played some terrific football and they must be contenders now they are out of the Europa League – it will definitely help them in that respect."

Meanwhile, United travel to Queens Park Rangers knowing that a win would put them top of the league.
